Dreams really do come true!

I have worked almost every day of the last five years, I figured if I really wanted all of my dreams to come true, I would have to give it everything I have, and that is just what I did. 
This morning I woke up and realized that I have!! I have shot all over for magazines, clothing companies, starred in a tv show and movie, shot commercials, music videos, released a joint record, and now it has all come to a head, I am about to release my debut solo single "Secrets and Lies" to commercial radio worldwide! 
Looking back I can see how each moment lead me to the next and all came together to bring me to this wonderful place in my life.
I can't tell you how happy I am. To have started out a boy in the Canadian country side who had big dreams of fame and fortune, and just wanted to sing, act and entertain. I can now say that I am watching as one by one all of my wildest dreams come true!!

THE LAST REBEL Bruno Ierullo 2011 Collection Fashion Show

I Am Gay

Let me first start by saying that Yes, I am a gay man, and I have known ever since I was a little boy.
I am madly in Love with a man named Adam, who I have happily spent the last 3 years of my life falling even more in love with each day that passes.
I have spent years in this industry keeping my relationship and my sexuality a secret as all through my career I have been told to "keep it to myself, it will do nothing good for your career".
Well I just can do that anymore, I have had it, and can't live this way anymore.
In recent times I have been so hurt and saddened by the fact that young men have been taking there lives because they live in a situation/community that not only didn't except them, but made there lives hell.
I can stand by anymore and watch this happen, and I won't.
We need to start standing up for each other, and when we see injustice happening get involved and make a difference.
The truth of it all is, We ALL deserve to love and be loved, we ALL deserve to be happy, and we ALL deserve to be able to live our lives with out fear and hate because of the way we were born.
Just as I think that should shouldn't pick on someone for there skin colour, beliefs, looks, background.
This is the time to make a change!!
To all those people out there, I Am Gay, and if you don't like it you can kiss my BEAUTIFUL ass!!

Priscilla Queen of the Desert - The Musical

Last night I saw Priscilla Queen of the Desert in Toronto at The Princess of Wales Theatre, and I loved every minute of it.

As soon as the show started, it was drag queens, crazy costumes, zany dance numbers, and glitz and glam galore.

I enjoyed the characters, and embraced the story, even though it was completely out there, but fun and adventurous all the same.

It was a lot of great music performed by a medium size cast of truly gifted singers and performers, and the shoes they were dancing in, that alone was enough to give a huge standing ovation which we did along with the rest of the audience, who all, from teens to ninety somethings seem to enjoy the show.

All in all I had a wonderful time and thought the show was truly AMAZING, if you get the chance, Go See It!!

4 Years

Well today marks the anniversary of the day I left my job to follow my dreams to be a famous model, actor and singer.
In that time I have had some huge ups and some crazy lows, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Over the years I have worked in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Montreal, just to name a few, Shooting for Top Magazines, clothing lines, book covers, posters, billboards, and so much more.
In the beginning, at the age of 23, I started as a model and working in Toronto, within six months I had worked several times in the states and was starting to really get things going, after about two years I had worked for almost 100 clients and shot in NYC, and La.
The opportunity then came up to co-write and release my first full length album (as the lead singer of a band) we released the album, and toured, it was really great and a wonderful learning experience.
While we were still promoting the record I had several TV opportunities come up so as I felt that I had put a lot of time and effort into touring and had reached a lot of people, and I was ready to move onto another new chapter.
At that point I shot as one of the leads of TMN's "Body Language" , appeared as a judge on "Last Bride Standing", and also shot several other guest spots as well as many commercials and music videos.
Hot on the heals on the tv success, once again I was brought back to music, but while still keeping part of my focus on TV/Movies, and modelling.
Now I am about to release my debut solo single, and am getting ready to shoot another movie, as well as shooting for several new clients in the coming weeks.
I have had so many amazing opportunities and travelled all over and met some wonderful people, and even though I don't live in a huge mansion and have 100 million dollars, life is truly BEAUTIFUL, and as always, I am very excited for the future!!!

Brandon Flowers Live in Concert

So I saw Brandon Flowers in concert tonight at the Mod Club in
Toronto.
I do like The Killers, but I haven't really taken much time to listen to his new stuff at all other then watching the music video for Crossfire once.
So I went in tonight with an open mind, and I am glad to say that I
fully enjoyed the show.(I also always enjoy going for free, Thanks for the hook up John!!!)
His songs were well written, and better yet they were performed and sung well by both Brandon and his female back-up singers.
He had a great energy to him, and really connected well with the very small audience, which is another reason why I think I really enjoyed the show, I was about eight feet away from the stage and the venue was only three quarters full, so it was very intimate and really all in all a wonderful show!!

Body Language

The shoot took place in a studio in downtown Toronto.
It was a fun day, and the T-shirts are AMAZING!

This weekend I decided that I had enough of my hair, and having to blow dry and style it, and as it's summer, I thought I would shave my head.

In Memory of My Grandfather

John Herald Folks Burton (July 27th 1915 - July 17 2010)

I am truly blessed in my life to have had a wonderful grandfather that I spent so much time with.
After 12 years of battling with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's my grandfather passed away July 17 while surrounded by his loving family
My grandfather was funny, kind, well spoken, giving, smart, understanding, and a great listener.
I remember many times when I was younger spending time with my grandfather telling me about fighting in the war, us watching old movies together, going to the market, and reading C.S. Lewis books.
My grandfather always believed in me and all my crazy ideas and thought that I could do anything if I set my mind to it.
The greatest lesson that I learned from him is that you can get what you want from life, without compromising who you are and what you believe in, and that is one of the greatest things I have ever learned.
So for all the smiles, all the wonderful advise, all the great times we had, I say thank you, thank you, thank you.
You will always live on in my heart as the wonderful man that you were!!

One of My Favorite Things!! Part 2

I, like most other people right now LOVE Lady Gaga, and I am really enjoying her new remixes album.
Even though there are more the one remix of some of the same songs, I really love the remix of Alejandro, Bad Romance, and my favorite remix on the album, Dance In The Dark.
I have found myself listening to it a lot as I walk/run as most of the tracks are pretty fast!!
So if your a Gaga fan, check it out today!!

The Canadian Open and BMW

So I spent the Thursday to Sunday representing BMW at the Canadian Open at St. Georges Golf Course in Toronto.
It was a wonderful four days spent talking with people about BMW and Golf, as well as watching some really great golfers including Pettersson (The Winner of the Canadian Open 2010)
The weather as always was all over the place but for the most part was really nice.
I got to check out the 2011 line-up for BWM as well as get right in and check out there new 2011 Active Hybrid X6 and 7 Series, and they were amazing.
All in all it was an awesome four days, and I look forward to doing it again next year!!

Checking out the course yesterday at the Canadian Open

I have the pleasure this year of representing BMW at the Canadian Open, so yesterday we got to check out the course and also take a look a several models from the BMW 2010 line-up.
The Canadian Open is held at St-Georges Golf Course, which is a beautiful city course just outside of the downtown.
I will be at the Open form Thursday July 22 - Sunday July 25th, and I am looking forward to taking it all in and representing the BMW brand!!

One of My favorite Things!!

So I thought I might as well blog about some of favorite things as well, since I have so many things I love!!!

The Sweet Hereafter is one of my very favorite books.
It is the story of a small town shook by a tragic accident, told through the view points of several different people.
The book is so well written, and the story, although sad, is such a wonderful and captivating read, you may just love it as much as I do, all 6 times I have read it!!
